In prime place is safety-always!
In order to choose the right shoe for our needs, it is essential to be ben clear about what we need and what needs we need to address.
For this, awareness is a fundamental prerogative, otherwise we will be guided only by aesthetic sense or by some "tip" received from friends or read on the web, risking buying a product that does not suit our real needs.

The differences are not only aesthetic but rather functional, and it is therefore very important to be ben clear on what are the must-have protection parameters in order to work with absolute peace of mind.
How are safety shoes classified?
Let's see together what the European regulation/standard provides.

Work shoes are identified according to an alphanumeric code indicating the European safety regulations/standards they meet. Here are the characteristics of the main classifications:
SB Work shoes These are the basic safety shoes whose difference from a commonly used shoe is the addition of a steel-reinforced toe cap to protect toes from falling heavy objects and an oil-resistant sole.
SB work shoes
These are the basic safety shoes whose difference from a commonly used shoe is the addition of a steel-reinforced toe cap to protect the toes from falling heavy objects and an oil-resistant sole.
In addition to toe protection, these shoes have a sole that is non-slip not only with regard to oils, but also to hydrocarbons. In addition, the heel area is structured to absorb shocks and thus protect against the effects of shocks. If a P also appears next to the S1 acronym, this means that a special anti-puncture footbed is also located inside the shoe.
The code S2 indicates that water repellent protection is also added but not total waterproofing against liquids.
An anti-puncture footbed is added to the features listed above for safe work on rough terrain and construction sites. Then there are the S4 and S5 safety standards, which are totally waterproof-they are rubber and polymeric material footwear-and can withstand immersion in water. The prime come with a reinforced toe cap, non-slip sole, anti-static protection, and heel protection; the latter additionally have an anti-puncture foil.

There are also, two additional protections:
