U‑Power presents "Happy and U‑Power Team in ..."

Children are capable of doing great things.
With just a few elements they are able, thanks to their incredible imagination, to develop extraordinary ideas and stories. Have you ever wondered how they see the world of work and what safety means to them?

U-Power has promoted an interesting initiative to understand how our children perceive risk and danger in the work environment. The result is exciting stories set in the past, present and even the future!
U-Power decided to help children understand how important workplace safety is and did so with a really fun and interesting initiative: a comic book!

A comic book with an exceptional mascot - Happy, the lion in the U-Power logo - assisted by a team with "super powers" that can intervene to avert any danger in the work environment.
And the stories? They are totally designed by the children, entirely thought up by them, reported in comic book form and posted on Social Media.
Because safety is a serious thing you learn as a child, and if it's also fun, even better!

CHILDREN LEARN BY FOLLOWING OUR EXAMPLE

Children are amazing!

Very often, they learn important concepts and notions simply by copying our behavior. And anyone who is a parent knows how quickly children can learn both good and bad notions (indeed, who knows why, bad habits are the easiest to acquire...)

Everything we share at home is automatically stored and absorbed and then reworked by the child according to his or her imagination.

It is, therefore, as important as ever, to help our little ones to give the right importance to the concept of "Safety at Work," to understand what behavior to adopt when faced with certain situations and, vice versa, how certain dangers can be avoided, even if only by using the right personal protective equipment: safety shoes, High Visibility workwear if working on the road, helmet, technical work gloves, elastic work pants if we have to bend often, etc.

Our children learn by following our example, let's never forget that!

And how can we "pass on" such important notions without boring them? Simple!
By using a fun educational method, for example, a comic strip!

A monthly event that, with a five-cartoon strip, tells an adventure - or rather, a misadventure - that is promptly solved by Happy - the U-Power mascot - and hisSuperhero Team.

It's a nice and fun way to engage our children and explain to them that, often, we can avoid dangerous situations by using the right tricks, just as they themselves do when they play soccer and wear shin guards or when, in ballet, they put on toe guards to protect their toes before putting on their pointe shoes. Exactly the same way the toe guard does with safety shoes!

And that's why U-Power, wanted to involve children right at the creative and ideation stage. The result is a series of amazing stories that, however imaginative, expressed very clearly not only the need for protection and safety but also the importance of teamwork and the sense of team.

THE COMIC: HAPPY AND THE U-POWER TEAM IN...

A monthly Social Media event, published by U-Power on Facebook and Instagram, featuring a comic strip consisting of five vignettes with some recurring characters:

• HAPPY - The lion of the U-Power logo and mascot, representing the Brand values and advantages of the product;




• Big Ruby - U-Power's over-size testimonial always full of energy, representing the lightness, functionality and technology of U-Powerwork shoes and workwear;




• The Dylet - U-Power's fashion-conscious female testimonial, representing the attention to detail that has always characterized theU-Power brand;




• Mr. Mountain - The expert in posturology and kinesiology, representing the focus on preventive health and reminding us that for every work situation there is a right technology!




• Van Claude - The U-Power brand expert, able to come up with the right product for every specific worker need.

And then, of course, each story has a protagonist on duty, in a particular work situation, invented and imagined by the children.

Thus, through the stories invented by our children and their imagination, U-Power aims to highlight different work situations in order to get an educational message across and let the children themselves understand how important safety at work is and how mom and dad can protect themselves by using the right safety shoes and workwear for their needs.

GET INVOLVED TOO: GET YOUR CHILD INVOLVED AND SEND US THEIR STORY!

Happy and the U-Power Team are looking for new adventures to have: send us the story your child created!

What do you need to do: follow these simple steps:

1. Introduce your child to the 5 Comic Bookcharacters (Happy, Big Ruby, The Dylet, Mr. Mountain, and Van Claude) and let him or her choose which ones to involve;




2. Describe or have your child describe the situation and setting;




3. Use the Comic Bookcharacters and tell an adventure explaining what the various characters do;




4. Putit all back on a sheet of paper indicating the child's name and take a picture of it;




5. Send the picture of the story your child devised , indicating in the subject line "Comic Book Happy and the U-Power Team," to the following e-mail address: info@u-power.it




6. U-Power will select the best stories and produce the comics;




7. The comics will be posted on Social Media (Facebook + Instagram) with the name of the child who came up with the story.
