How much are you willing to spend on work clothes?
How much is workwear worth in relation to casual wear?
format(avif))
It is said that the clothes make the monaco, and in part, it is true. The clothes we wear speak about us and influence both our mood and others' perceptions of us. But beyond that, clothes have a protective function: they keep us warm in winter and disperse heat in summer.
They should give us well-being and make us feel comfortable.
We use different clothing according to what we are doing-it's automatic!

If we are going to do sports, we will adopt appropriate technical clothing; for walking in the city center we will dress casual; if we have an important dinner we will dress smartly...
What about work clothing? According to what criteria do we choose our work clothes? Do we buy work clothes only if we are under the work clothingobligation or do we prefer it regardless, because of its features and functionality?
What do we know about the workwear regulation/standard?
Let's try to understand more about it!

Without realizing it, as well as according to what we have to do, we tend to dress according to our mood, and even the colors we choose are important because they communicate our mood and influence our mood.
If we want smart business clothes, for example, Black, communicates sobriety, authority, sophistication, while blue is the color of credibility - perfect in business meetings! -; red conveys dynamism and, not surprisingly, is the color of the U-POWER logo!
No wonder that, as confirmed by Eurostat data, we are willing to spend 6.2 percent of our income on clothing and shoes.
But, how much care and attention do we give to the purchase of workwear?
Why are we willing to spend our money (rightly!) on gym clothes or skiing in the mountains and not on workwear?
If our work task leads us to the use of specific professional clothing, personal protective equipment, we will wear our clothes for at least 8 hours-a good part of the day!
In this case, work clothes have an even more important function because they must provide us with safety, they must be functional to put us in a position to work at our best, without distractions or hindrances that can distort our concentration.
So why do we tend to think that we can use as workwear our casual clothes that are now out of fashion or old and no longer suitable for our leisure time?
Using old clothes to go to work is a very common mistake that does not take into account the specific properties for which professional technical clothing is expressly designed.
In addition, it is absolutely not true that workwear "is ugly" and not also suitable for leisure time (unless it is really specific, such ashigh-visibility clothing.
How do they differ from casual clothes?
The distinguishing features of workwear mainly concern functionality, materials, and fabric technology.
Functionality comes from the study of details designed to ensure practicality and safety at work.
If we consider pants, we will see that a work pants is equipped with numerous pockets to allow the worker to have everything he needs at hand without having to continually interrupt himself to retrieve the necessary tools from his toolbox.
The pockets will be positioned to distribute the weight of them while keeping badges, cell phone, pens and pencils with him.
Thus, we will have back, front and side pockets designed to optimize the weight load and not burden the limbs creating imbalances.
Depending on the style, there may also be pockets at the knee pads or, as in the case of the WORLD pants from U-POWER 's FUTURE range/assortment designed to make up for ben specific peculiar situations. In this case, the back pockets are slightly offset and slanted toward the outer side of the leg so as to facilitate hand entry: an important detail if asafety harness or jacket is used that covers its opening!
The jackets and vests are also designed to offer numerous pockets, both inside and outside. And again, it is the small details that make the difference. Such as, for example, adjusting the fit at the waist with a drawstring anti-wicking inside the pocket instead of outside.
This special feature may seem like a nuance, but it actually consists of the elimination of a real danger, because one of the main causes of accidents at work is precisely entanglement.
Every U-POWER work jacket has the anti-entanglement drawstring inside the pockets and this is a guarantee of safety.
In addition, there is no lack of care in the design, all "Made in Italy" that make these garments perfectly adaptable to everyday life. The casual range/assortment with which they are designed takes fashion trends into account and they are extremely versatile and adaptable to casual or sports wear as well.
The other major difference between workwear and regular clothing is the quality and technology of the materials used.
These, in fact, are designed to ensure comfort and lightness while providing the right microclimate on the skin and personal well-being.
How many times will it have happened to you to work in humid places, in the rain or in unpleasant temperatures and have felt uncomfortable because of the cold or have gone from repeated sensations of hot/cold, without being able to stabilize the body temperature?
Technical fabrics-such as Softshell-are able to solve this kind of problem while remaining lightweight and uncluttered. And when combined with innovative technologies, they are also able to provide elasticity and freedom of movement.
One example?
U-4 WAY STRETCHfabric that moves in four directions at once or U-TEX technology, which ensures breathability, water proofing, oil and grease resistance, while remaining ultra-thin and ultra-light.
And, of course, we're talking about durability and toughness, because at work, garments are often abused...
The use of reinforcing inserts - CORDURA and POLYOXFORD fabric - in the areas subject to the most abrasion and rubbing, such as the knees and the heel pad, ensures durability and integrity of the pants or jacket (elbow area).
But sweatshirts, polo shirts and T-shirts are no different.
Think of a work situation outside in the hot summer sun...if I wear a "T-shirt," I will probably end up sweating and wetting the fabric, resulting in a damp feeling on my skin.
But if I use a T-Shirt or a polo shirt designed for work, I will have a breathable, lightweight technical fabric that will allow me to have, if not quite a cool feeling, at least dry skin, with no droplet of sweat running down my back from my neck, because the sweatband will have blocked it.
In short, dear readers, there is a substantial difference between everydayclothing and workwear. And it is not the discarded clothes, the ones we don't like anymore that can be adapted to the work situation, if we want to feel good and give our best but, if anything, it is theworkwear that can be adapted to leisure use, because the fabrics and materials used do not clash with an everyday use, on the contrary!
Take a look at the U-POWER clothing range/assortment: the design of our jackets and coats, vests, sweatshirts, etc.... is always fashionable and ensures a trendy look both at work and in leisure time.
